Efebo d’oro to show ‘Metamorphosis in the Slaughterhouse’

The Efebo d’oro- International Cinema and Narrative Award in Italy has been set to screen Iranian feature film ‘Metamorphosis in the Slaughterhouse’.

Directed by Javad Daraei, the film will join competition at the 42nd edition of the Italian film event.

When her parents were accused of murdering a girl and thus killed by the villagers, Shadi was only a little girl. She was, then, adopted by her uncle and grew up. Shadi must now face the problems that the village residents cased them.

Sarina Yousefi, Fariba Talebi, Saeed Ahmadi, Fariba Torkashvand and Farahnaz Manafizaher are some of the cast members of the flick.

‘Matamorphosis in the Slaughterhouse’ will also be soon showcased at the 15th edition of the International Film Festival Cyprus (CYIFF).

Founded in 1979, the Efebo d’oro (Golden Efebo) is held in the city of Palermo, which is famous for its brilliant artistic life.

This year’s edition of the fest will be held on November 29-December 5.
